Paint Splat is a fun interactive art studio where we offer a great art experience with a variation of abstract art techniques. It’s all about having a fun time whilst creating something to keep forever.

No, this technique is inspired by the abstract expressionist art movement. We will provide tips and techniques through our briefing before you get started.

First select an experience and then pick a date and time slot. 

We ask that you come dressed in the clothes you intend to wear whilst painting. We only have one toilet in the venue with no changing facilities, so it is not suitable to get changed upon arrival.

Yes, we do have lockers available for you to store valuables in. These are used at your own risk, we do not charge for use of our lockers.

Yes, we have one customer toilet in the venue.

We recommend you wear old clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting messy. Protective gear will be provided as part of your session but it’s a messy activity and paint may find its way onto clothing.

Although it is washable on some fabrics, we use high quality paint to ensure a vibrant design on your canvas, so there’s a chance it can cause staining. We do provide ponchos, shoe covers and goggles included as part of your session, but we’d recommend you wear clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting a little messy.
For extra protection, we can supply a full body protective suit at an additional £5. These are splash proof (not waterproof) and can be worn under the poncho.

We will clean all your station and equipment for you but you may want to clean yourself. You are welcome to use our clean up area with large sink. We provide soap, water and paper towels.

Yes, we encourage you to take photos. Post your epic pictures to show all of your friends what a great time they missed out on. Be sure to tag Paint Splat on all of your socials.

By entering the studio you acknowledge that you may have your picture taken and it may be posted online.

We use high quality, non-toxic, child safe paint suitable for age 36 months+
It is a water based paint that is Wheat & Gluten free.
Clothing should be protected, paints can stain. May wash out of certain fabric with cool water. Pre-soak dried stains overnight in cool water with small amount of detergent. Work gently by hand until the stain is removed. Stains may not come out if machine washed without pre-soaking.

We are accessible for prams, children and wheelchairs. There is also easy access to public transport and free parking nearby. However, our standard toilet is not adapted for wheelchair access.

Yes. We are an open plan studio.
You will have your own dedicated splatter station. You will have access to a number of items next to your splatter station and also our shared equipment table and paint trolleys to give you a wider selection.

 

When you book a standard session, you receive a 12 x 16 inch Canvasser your experience.

However, you also have the option to upgrade to a larger 16 x 20 Canvas.

This option is available to you at the checkout stage online when the system asks if you would like to select any add-ons.

 

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a postage service.

No. We use specific paint and our canvases have a take home box made to allow you to transport your wet masterpiece.

As part of your session, we provide you with a take home box to allow you to take your canvas home after your session.

Unfortunately, we do not have space to store canvases.
We provide take home boxes so that you can take your painting home after your session.

 

Our Studio opens 10-15 minutes before any session start time. We are unable to open before this as we clean the venue between each and every session.

If you have booked a party, you may set up 15 minutes prior to the session start time. Any additional time needed for setup may be requested prior to the party date and is based on availability and approval.

There are a variety of cafes, shops, market and Library within walking distance, so if you arrive too early, we recommended you visiting one of those places.

Due to space restrictions, the maximum number of people that can share any splatter station is two.

Yes, absolutely.
We are always BYOB for over 18’s. We do not charge any corkage fees.

No food allowed on the station floor. Due to the nature of the activity, it is not appropriate to bring food for consumption on the premises
during standard splatter sessions.

Drinks in unbreakable containers are allowed.

We are only able to allow food and birthday cake for private bookings.

Yes, if you book a private party, you can DJ for your group, we have a bluetooth speaker that you can connect to. Some requests are always welcome.

Our Policy for the Public Splatter Sessions are as follows:

Rescheduling more than 48 hours in advance of your Splatter Session is Free of Charge.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance of your Splatter Session receive a Gift Voucher to the value paid.

Rescheduling 48 hours or less in advance of your Splatter Session incurs a £20 Reschedule Fee per Station.
Cancellations made 48 hours or less in advance of your Splatter Session will not receive a refund. All bookings are final.

Once you have Rescheduled your Splatter Session, you are no longer entitled to a refund if you cancel the rescheduled time.

If your whole party or an individual guest in a party does not show up to their Splatter Session, they will not receive a refund and do not have the option to reschedule.
Contacting at the time of the Splatter Session or after the fact are considered no shows.

Should we need to cancel or reschedule your booking for any reason, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify you of this change. In this instance we will offer a 100% refund or offer an alternative date for your booking.
